To end our series of beauty tips, here are some random tips that apply to a broad range of subjects.
-Always! Always! Always! Apply makeup, moisturizer and cleanser in an upward and inward motion. Never down or out. We all know that Gravity is a B!+*#, help fight against gravity!
-Use blotting papers to manage oil and shine in your T-Zone, which are also great for cleaning up around the eyes.
-If you ever run out of blotting tissues or need one in public, use a toilet seat cover, they are made of the same material.
-Sunscreens that claim to provide all-day protection and water resistance are not reliable; don’t be fooled by these claims and reapply all sunscreens at least every three hours. Never ever use the aerosols!
-Wash your personal make up brushes weekly. Excess build up will contaminate skin causing possible breakouts. Not to mention the liquid foundation or natural oils left in brushes will eventually grow mold. Gently wash brushes with a mild shampoo or brush cleaner from your local make up counter.
-Routine make up brush cleaning will prevent make up from looking splotchy.
- Never use those sponge pads that are provided with new make up! Bacteria love them! Also it's impossible to create flawless makeup with those!
-Always wash your makeup off before bed and wash your pillow case bi weekly. Your pillowcase collects impurities that will only contaminate skin.
-Always use a moisturizer with SPF in the morning. Even in the winter!
-To fix a cracked or broken powder compact, pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol in the tin. Swirl the liquid and the powder together with a cotton swab until you get a clay-like consistency. Then, let it dry flat for about a day and it’ll be like new.
-Pop an Advil before getting a wax to prevent inflammation and lingering pain.
-The best way to get rid of ingrown hairs is to exfoliate, which rids the skin of dead cells and allows the hair to break through the surface. Do this weekly!
-You are what you eat. A healthy diet leads to a beautiful you. The proper amount of H2O a day will guarantee glowing skin and shiny healthy hair. Take your body weight/divide in half= how many ounces of water a day you should consume.
-The best time to apply facial and body creams is after the shower when the skin has been removed of excess and unwanted oils.
-Set your makeup for a long night by spraying hairspray straight up in the air, then tilting your head back and closing your eyes to let the hairspray fall back down onto your face.
-Use a pumice stone on your feet after the shower to get rid of calluses on your feet.
-Always, Always, Always use a skin brush on your skin to prevent cellulite before showering! At least every other day!
